By creating an account or using WriteOffPad (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

WriteOffPad access is available under two plans, each subject to the allotments encoded in your account (AI scan credits and property slots):

• Bundled Access Key — purchased through Etsy or similar marketplaces, this grants a fixed 24-month access period from the date of activation.
• Annual Subscription — a recurring plan billed yearly. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Access continues until the end of the paid period.

Access is non-transferable and may not be resold or shared. Features available at the time of your purchase will not be removed during your active access period. Trollmoj AB reserves the right to modify features and pricing for new purchases or renewals.

Trollmoj AB reserves the right to discontinue, sunset, or materially modify the Service upon sixty (60) days’ notice to registered users via email.

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent AI scan metering or quota limits.
• Use the Service to process documents you do not have the right to share.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI parsing pipeline.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

WriteOffPad provides tools to help you organize financial and property data. Trollmoj AB is not a licensed tax advisor, CPA, certified financial planner, law firm, or attorney, and does not provide legal representation or legal advice. Use of the Service does not establish an attorney-client relationship.

Tax and property laws vary by jurisdiction and change frequently. You are entirely responsible for verifying that any calculations or outputs generated by the Service comply with applicable local, state, and federal rules. Consult a qualified attorney or CPA before making tax filings or any legal decisions. All tax calculations are estimates based on the information you provide.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Trollmoj AB does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated categorizations will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trollmoj AB’s total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for your current access period. Trollmoj AB is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Sweden, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address on your account.

When you use WriteOffPad, we collect:

• Account data — email address, display name.
• Profile data — primary ZIP code, estimated household income bracket (used to calculate rebate eligibility).
• Property and financial data — property addresses and nicknames, project names, expense amounts, IRS category assignments, purchase price, and any other information you enter.
• Receipt images — photos or PDFs you upload. These are stored in cloud storage and sent to an AI model for parsing. Images are not used to train AI models.
• Mileage data — trip distances, dates, and purposes you log.
• Usage data — AI scan count, number of properties created.

Your data is used solely to provide the Service:

• Calculating tax estimates and rebate eligibility.
• Generating tax-ready CSV exports for you or your CPA.
• Enforcing plan quotas (scan credits, property slots).

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services to operate the Service:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database managed by Supabase.
• OpenAI— receipt image parsing. Uploaded images are sent to OpenAI’s API for text extraction. OpenAI’s data usage policy applies to data processed through their API.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Inactive account data is subject to a 12-month pruning cycle, after which it may be deleted. Properties you have archived (“frozen”) are retained indefinitely for audit purposes until you explicitly delete them.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. Deletion is permanent and immediate — all your data including properties, projects, receipts, and trip logs is erased and cannot be recovered.

Because Trollmoj AB is an entity established in Sweden, we process all personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), regardless of your geographic location.

You have the right to:

• Access and export your personal and financial data (Settings → Tax Engine → Export).
• Rectify inaccurate personal data by updating your account information.
• Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”) — delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Danger Zone).
• Restriction or objection to processing — contact us to request that we restrict or stop processing your data.
• Data portability — request a machine-readable copy of your data by emailing us.
• Lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten — IMY) if you believe your rights under GDPR have been violated.

Our legal basis for processing your personal data is the performance of our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and, where applicable, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service (Art. 6(1)(f)).

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are managed by Supabase Auth and are never stored in plain text. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
